Release of CopyTracker Online - Beta version | le 18/02/2009
Dear CopyTracker users, The CopyTracker developers team is happy to announce you the release of the beta version of CopyTracker Online. You can now enjoy a more convenient and intuitive interface.
CopyTracker Server now supports text, html, doc or docx files, or if you prefer you can copy-and-paste a text. CopyTracker Server offer you two different methods of plagiarism detection.
We are currently working on new methods BUT more important we are working on an efficient way to find automatically possible sources of plagiarism.
We hope you will like the interface and do not hesitate to share your comments with us.

The CopyTracker project has a new team | le 22/06/2008
A new team of Centrale Lille students is pursuing the CopyTracker project. A new release of the software is now avalaible in the download setion. In this newer version, Microsoft Word won't be necessary to run the analysis of .doc documents.
We are currently working on a new website which will allow users to analyse theirs documents online, whithout having to download and install the program.

A new version of copytracker is now available.
The main ameliorations are the simplicity of installation (you don't need to have a server on your computer before the download) and the impovement of the research of potential sources on the Internet.

Statistics | le 06/04/2007
In order to better understand the will of CopyTracker's users, we submit a poll to new downloaders. Results are accessible from the menu on the right of the screen. We hope it will be usefull, and that it will help us to develop the more relevant functionalities as possible.

Collaboration with the University of Geneva | le 06/04/2007
A beta version of CopyTracker is currently downloadable, and we have started to promote the software.
In order to be the more broadcasted as possible, we have started in January 2007 a partnership with the University of Geneva.
This collaboration is a proof of serious and shows that CopyTracker has a great future. Indeed, this project will certainly continue after the original team will have finish its scholarship.

PDF and html supported! | le 04/02/2007
We have started the improvement of the beta version of CopyTracker, currently downloadable. The beta version only supports .doc files (Microsoft Word files). We have developped new fonctions which allow to work with html and PDF files. This is very important because people who do not use Word (version 2003 at least) will have the opportunity to use the next version of CopyTracker, in working with PDF files for instance!

New langage | le 23/01/2007
A new option has been added, which allows the user to choose between French and English.
This is a very convenient option, because the number of langages available is linked to the number of potential users. We hope you'll enjoy this upgrade.

Preview of the first release of Copytracker | le 23/01/2007
This software is still in development and is the work of six students of the engineering school Centrale de Lille (Anthony Charles, Daniel Chheav, Thomas Filaire, Tao Ji, Etienne Neveu et Mikhail Zukhov). The first release will be downloadable soon, and here is a preview of what work today.
This is the main screen of the software:
From the menu, you can access different actions.
First, a file can be uploaded in order to analyse it.
Then, uploaded files can be seen in 'My Database':
The main fonction is to compare two files from the database:
When the comparaison is complete, a report is printed and give a pourcentage of suspect text in the file (here 12% of the text is suspect and 6.1% is plagiarism). Then, the are the identical sentences found in the two files.
On click on 'sidebyside', the two files are shown and the identical sentences can be found thanks to coloration.
